최근에 난무하는 '다이어트(식단)담론,' '건강주의(healthism)'가 하나의 종교나 교조주의가 되어, 개개인의 주관적 행복과 복지보다는 사회와 집단의 유지와 안정을 추구하는 새로운 권력, 또하나의 억압적인 새로운 morality로 인간을 속박하게 되었으며 이러한 사회적인 경향은 그 기준을 만족시키지못하는 사람들(술담배하는 사람들, 비만인 사람들 등등)을 새로운 낙오자(부적응자, 폐인)들로 '낙인'찍어 '일탈자'로 전락/추방시키고 있는 점을 진단한 글들이 많이 있다. (푸코 등의 '몸(body)'에 대한 담론 논의와는 또 별개로.) --
